The fourth Plum Blossom Art Season of the Slender West Lake kicked off on Feb 22, the sixth day of Chinese New Year, creating a poetic scene of shimmering waters and floating fragrances to welcome Yangzhou's early spring.

The Plum Blossom Art Season is a highly influential and well-branded tourism festival in the winter-spring period that the Slender West Lake scenic area has held for four consecutive years.
The festival centers on the lake's Plum Blossom Forest, drawing visitors to admire its seasonal beauty. The forest covers an area of 150 mu (about 10 hectares), bringing together dozens of high-quality plum blossom varieties, with nearly 10,000 plum trees scattered along the water's edge.

This year, the season will run until March 22. It features flowers, intangible cultural heritage, flash mobs, markets, and science outreach, as well as 10 themed activities, inviting both citizens and tourists to experience an immersive fusion of lake-side gardens and plum blossom culture.
By combining garden beauty, cultural charm, and the joy of folk customs, the festival enhances Slender West Lake as a year-round tourism destination and contributes to Yangzhou's effort to build an international cultural tourism city.
