Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province has launched an ancient Chinese culture and art festival at the Slender West Lake scenic area, which will run through Aug 30, filling the night with vibrant lights.

After dark, a magnificent dragon, formed by dozens of bamboo rafts aglow with golden light, glides gracefully across the water, casting a shimmering reflection.
As the dragon fades into the night, an iron flower show lights up the lake, with sparks showering down like falling stars.

On shore, a lantern parade winds through the gardens. Performers in traditional attire carrying fish-shaped lanterns dress up as literary luminaries like poet Li Bai or immortals such as lotus fairies to mingle with visitors.
Above, fleets of drones weave luminous tapestries across the night sky, their formations shifting in mesmerizing synchronization.

Every Friday and Saturday evening in August, a poetry recital event will held by the lake. Visitors who can entirely recite The Moon Over the River on a Spring Night, a famous poem created by Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet Zhang Ruoxu in Yangzhou, will be rewarded with free admission to the night tour.
In addition, the festival also offers family-friendly activities, souvenir stamp collecting, exclusive cultural merchandise, and live music, ensuring there's never a dull moment.
