As the 2026 FIFA World Cup rages on, the 2026 Jiangsu Football City League, or Suchao, is also heating up, not only sparking a football fervor across the province, but also giving Yangzhou's traditional crafts a fresh look.

A team of young pastry artisans from Yangzhou University has created a series of dim sum called "Su Dudu". Adopting classic Huaiyang pastry craftsmanship, they have created 13 distinctive treats, each inspired by the signature image of one of Jiangsu's 13 cities. These delicate creations beautifully blend Yangzhou culture with Suchao, the popular grassroots football event.

The Suchao-themed badges use mother-of-pearl inlay, a Yangzhou lacquering technique, to create a shimmering effect that changes with the light. The design pairs a football player leaping into action with a classic Chinese garden scene below, combining the energy of the sport with the serene beauty of Yangzhou's landscapes.

Crafted with Yangzhou jade carving techniques, the jade plaque set consists of 13 carved jade tokens. The central plaque bears the team emblem of Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu. Twelve surrounding plaques, laid out in a circle, represent the other 12 cities in Jiangsu. The interlocked design is a fitting symbol of unity for Jiangsu's 13 cities.
