The cultural tourism scene in Yangzhou buzzed during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 14 to 23, with a rich array of activities that captivated both locals and visitors.
Over the nine-day break, average daily visitor numbers and consumer spending at the city's monitored cultural and tourism venues increased by 14.36 percent and 13.91 percent, respectively, compared to the previous year's eight-day holiday.

To offer tourists a taste of local customs, diverse folk activities were on offer in Yangzhou. On Chinese New Year's Eve, a blessing bell-ringing ceremony at Daming Temple attracted over 2,000 people, creating a warm and auspicious atmosphere. On Feb 21, a city-wide folk parade called caijie took place, with people dressing up to sing and dance in the streets, extending New Year greetings.

Trendy interactive experiences also boosted the city's cultural tourism market. Integrating technology with popular TV series, iQIYI LAND became a holiday sensation, drawing over 12,000 visitors. Geyuan Garden hosted an Honor of Kings cosplay parade, offering a new way to enjoy the garden beauty.

Night tours were also popular, with cruises along the Grand Canal and Slender West Lake attracting 62,000 visitors.
Throughout the holiday, cultural museums remained open. The Yangzhou Museum and the Yangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Treasure Hall presented over 20 boutique exhibitions, welcoming nearly 350,000 visitors.
