The exclusive habitat for oriental storks in Jieshou town, Gaoyou, a county-level city of Yangzhou, enjoys a dense river network and pristine ecological conditions.
As one of the first 10 best bird-watching places to be approved in Jiangsu province, it is now home to around 260 oriental storks and more than 70 nests. The best time to see them is from November until June of the following year.

Abundant with aquatic plants and boasting a tranquil ecosystem, the Yunhe Sanwan scenic area makes for an ideal natural habitat for wetland biodiversity, particularly avian species.
Over 80 bird species have been sighted here, including Chinese bulbuls, red-billed gulls, and magpies. The spot has constructed bird-watching shelters and boardwalks, balancing visitor comfort with scientific observation needs.

In winter and early spring, the Zhuyuwan Scenic Spot serves as a critical wintering habitat for large flocks of mandarin ducks, while red-headed tits also frequent the area during winter months.
