Love was overflowing at Yangzhou Zhuyuwan Zoo on Oct 7, as a wedding ceremony was held for the capybara couple, "Doubao" and "Hetao", in a romantic kind.

The keeper of "Doubao" shared a warm coming-of-age story about the bride, from her daring April escape that sparked online buzz to peaceful return in June, from her "family meeting" that assessed whether her first bold suitor "Xiba bro" was a suitable match, to moving into a new home, and then to encountering and growing to know her current love.
During the wedding-vows ceremony, the zoo director declared "Doubao" and "Hetao" officially married. Then, in the token-exchange ceremony, capybara keepers presented heart-shaped trays of their favorite foods, symbolizing a lifelong promise.
At the welcome area by the capybara park's entrance, tourists penned down sincere blessings for the newlyweds, more interestingly, many of whom brought elaborately-decorated wedding gifts, including corn, broccoli, and other treats.
The wedding also received heartfelt blessings from fellow zoos, including Wuxi Zoo, Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, Shanghai Zoo, and Fujian Sanming Zoo.
