A group of nearly 50 international students from 18 countries studying at Shanghai's universities recently embarked on a study tour in Yangzhou to learn about China.
During the night tour along the Slender West Lake, the students were immersed in the poetic beauty of blossoms and willows lining the banks, their reflections shimmering on the gentle ripples.

Their itinerary also centered on canal culture. They visited the China Grand Canal Museum, delving into the canal's history and its shipping civilization showcased through modern technologies like holographic projections.

A visit to the World Historic and Cultural Canal Cities Cooperation Organization (WCCO) allowed them to listen to international case studies on canal conservation and appreciate the canal's value as a shared piece of human history.

In Geyuan Garden, the students marveled at the traditional Chinese aesthetics of Jiangnan landscaping within the classical garden.
This study tour allowed the students to experience the unique charm of Yangzhou as the "City of World Canals", the "UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy", and the "Culture City of East Asia" from the perspective of Generation Z.
