The Guazhou water conservancy scenic area in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been shortlisted as a provincial boutique route, the Department of Water Resources of Jiangsu announced on Feb 23.

Fifteen routes in the province were listed.

The route consists of the Yilou Section of the Grand Canal, Guazhou Gudu Park, Guazhou Pump Station, the Water Conservancy Culture Park and Runyang Forest Park.

On the dykes and dams along the Yilou Section of the Grand Canal, which was listed as a world heritage site in 2014, is a greenway for cycling enthusiasts to take in the stunning views.

Surrounded by water, Guazhou Gudu Park is a great place to experience the canal culture.

Guazhou Pump Station, which is a prominent water conservancy project, is a landmark where one can admire the views of the Yangtze River.

Visitors can also enjoy views of nature in the Water Conservancy Culture Park and Runyang Forest Park.
