Yangzhou Science and Technology Museum reopened to the public on June 3, with special measures introduced to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The museum will open from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 5 pm from Wednesday to Sunday. Visitors are asked to make a booking on its official WeChat account: YZSTM2015.

The museum will receive a maximum of 1,000 visitors a day. Only its main exhibition hall and temporary exhibition hall will open in light of the epidemic.

Visitors are required to present their identity cards and personal health codes, as well as undergo temperature checks during entry.

Visitors must also wear masks, maintain social distancing of at least 1 meter and avoid gathering in large groups once inside the premises, officials said.

The museum, which opened in 2015, is located in Guanglin district and covers over 30,000 square meters.

With the theme of "inheritance and innovation", the museum systematically narrates the exploration process and future prospects of humans in transport, machinery, energy, optics, the universe, law, health and other aspects, and reveals the internal laws of scientific and technological development. Visitors can also learn about ancient technologies developed in Yangzhou.
