Yangzhou, a historic city in East China's Jiangsu province, is offering visitors a new way to explore the ancient Grand Canal with the introduction of a "water bus" service that features two routes catering to different travel preferences.
Route A

As a longer sightseeing route, it follows the Grand Canal southward, connecting classic gardens, ancient temples and the China Grand Canal Museum before reaching Guazhou Ancient Ferry. The journey offers an immersive experience of the natural beauty and rich historical heritage of the Grand Canal in Yangzhou.
Outbound route: Dongguan Ancient Ferry → Heyuan Garden → South Gate Ruins → Wenfeng Temple → China Grand Canal Museum → Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Area → Yangzidun Ferry Crossing → Gaomin Temple → Guazhou Ancient Ferry
Return route: Guazhou Ancient Ferry → Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Area (stopover) → Dongguan Ancient Ferry
