Spring, the best season to admire the beauty of flowers, has arrived, bringing plum blossoms that began blooming in the middle of February.

The Slender West Lake Scenic Area in Yangzhou recently released a flower admiring guide to visitors as more than 100 varieties of plants usher in during the florescence period.

As spring comes, weather gets warmer and the nature freshens up with plants budding and flowers blooming, attracting growing numbers of locals and tourists to go for outings and enjoy the vernal springtime.

Yangzhou's famous scenic spot Slender West Lake held an event to promote its dance drama Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye (春江花月夜), or Spring River in the Flower Moon Night, at Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai on Feb 28.

Those craving a slower pace of life should consider Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province.
