Heyuan Garden is the best-known private garden in the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Inside, an artificial mountain made of stones from Taihu Lake was designed by painter Shi Tao and is considered an unparalleled masterpiece.
The Mausoleum Park of Sui Emperor Yang Guang combines the tomb site of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty (581-618) with a museum. Through sound, light, electricity, and multimedia interactions, the museum offers a comprehensive look at the dynasty and the archaeological discoveries made at this imperial burial site.
