The departure point of a food-themed double-decker bus near the Yumatou store of Yechun Teahouse, a time-honored Huaiyang cuisine brand in Yangzhou, was already crowded with passengers shortly before 8 am on May 10, the first weekend after the May Day holiday.

More than just a sightseeing bus, it lets passengers enjoy Yangzhou's scenery while sampling local Huaiyang cuisine.

On the lower deck, master chefs from Yechun Teahouse cook authentic Yangzhou zaocha (referring to morning tea culture) dishes live in an open kitchen.

The upper deck is for dining and sightseeing. As the bus moves, attractions such as Slender West Lake, splendid with their early-summer greenery, come into sight.
Midway through the journey, elegant Yangzhou opera melodies fill the air, creating a delightful interplay with the passing urban scenery.
Since its launch in late April, the bus has become a sensation. During the May Day holiday, its occupancy rate reached 96 percent, and even after the holiday, online reservations continue to be snatched up within seconds.
