Over 30 travel operators and influencers from over 10 countries including France, Spain, Portugal, Russia, and South Korea arrived in Yangzhou on April 20, after participating in the "Charm of Jiangsu · 2026 Global Tour Operators Conference", an event to promote international tourism in the province.

The tour kicked off with a boat ride across Slender West Lake, allowing the visitors to soak up the beautiful Jiangnan-style landscapes.
Next, they visited the Yunhe Sanwan scenic area and the World Historic and Cultural Canal Cities Cooperation Organization, where they learned about the rich history of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, a vital waterborne transport artery in China.
At noon, after touring the Huaiyang Cuisine Museum, participants enjoyed authentic Huaiyang cuisine. A Spanish travel operator praised the food and said he plans to bring tourists from Spain to try it.

In the afternoon, the group toured the Yangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Treasure Hall, where traditional crafts like woodblock printing and jade carvings left them amazed.
After that, they strolled through Geyuan Garden and admired the "Four Seasons Rockeries", gaining an understanding of the Chinese landscaping aesthetic of "unity between heaven and humans".
One travel operator from Portugal praised the uniqueness of Eastern beauty and decided to make Geyuan Garden the core attraction on their tour routes in Yangzhou.

At night, they took a cruise on the Grand Canal. Lights, fountains, and live acting came together in an immersive performance telling the 2,500-year story of the canal's history.
The trip has helped connect Yangzhou with global travel markets, promoting its tourism products to the world while contributing to Jiangsu's goal of becoming a world-class tourist destination.
