As New Year's Day approaches, Yangzhou is preparing a diverse array of events, filling the air with excitement to bid farewell to 2025 and embrace 2026.
Yangzhou International Horticultural Expo Park will be abuzz with band performances, accompanied by a bonfire party, a grand fireworks show, and several lottery draws. A lineup of popular singers, provincial troupes, and disc jockeys (DJ) will gather at Jinghua City (Living Mall), presenting a visual and audio feast. SM City Yangzhou will come alive with the performances of DJs and lively bands, along with intangible cultural heritage displays and an exciting parade.

Wenfeng Temple will hold a bell-ringing ceremony, blending blessings with traditional culture. Wuyue Plaza will combine music with a Song Dynasty (420-479) -style market, robot dog parades, and voucher distributions. Yangzhou Biodiverse and Sci-Tech City will cater to visitors and locals with trendy markets and popular food. Dongguan Street will feature a fish lantern parade and interactive games.

For art and history lovers, exhibitions abound. Chongning Temple will showcase over 200 artifacts spanning from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Republic of China (1912-1949). The China Grand Canal Museum will offer a glimpse into the architectural wisdom and heritage practices of the Xixia Imperial Tombs, which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025. Yangzhou Museum will present over a hundred jade wares from Wuhan Museum, highlighting their cultural significance.
