Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently kicked off its winter cultural tourism season during a promotional event in Beijing on Nov 27, where it unveiled a winter tour guide and announced over 200 activities, accompanied by a generous offering of cultural tourism consumption coupons.

Under a host's detailed introduction, audiences were taken on a mesmerizing trip through the UNESCO-designated Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the breathtaking Slender West Lake, the classical gardening landscapes of the Heyuan and Geyuan gardens, and the ancient blocks dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).

Yangzhou's culinary appeal as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy was highlighted, from zaocha, an early-morning meal where exquisite pastries are served with freshly brewed teas, to classical Huaiyang cuisine like lion's head meatballs, and special winter treats, such as the Grand Canal and Red Mansions banquets.

As the first "China's City of Hot Springs" in the Yangtze River Delta region, Yangzhou also provides a winter refuge to dispel the cold and rejuvenate the body and mind with high-quality hot springs.
From December to February, Yangzhou is set to hold over 200 activities. In December alone, the city will distribute consumption coupons worth 15 million yuan ($2.12 million), covering accommodation, dinning, and sightseeing, on China's major online platforms, including Ctrip, Tongcheng Travel, and Meituan Dianping.
