In the midst of late autumn and early winter, Huaihai Road, a narrow street in the heart of Yangzhou is undergoing a stunning transformation as its Chinese parasol trees exchange their leaves. This annual spectacle has become a picturesque hot spot, enticing locals and visitors alike to capture the beauty of the season and post on social media.

Along this historic street lie significant institutions such as Yangzhou Middle School, Yuanshi Square, and the Lianghuai Salt Affairs Checking Department, filling the road with a cultural ambiance. Nearby attractions beckon, including the unique Yangzhou Eight Eccentrics Memorial Hall, which showcases the artistic achievements of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, a group of eight painters who were active in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and rejected orthodox ideas about painting in favor of a style deemed expressive and individual. It also boasts a 700-year-old ancient ginkgo tree, casting a golden hue during autumn.

Further adding to the allure are a sturdy locust tree estimated to be 1,065 years old, which was famously featured on national television. It also holds a symbolic significance for its ties to the folklore of "A dream of the governor of Nanke" .
