Two pandas arrived at Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport, East China's Jiangsu province, on the afternoon of Aug 5. It was only the second time that pandas have arrived in the city since 1990.

The two 3-year-old pandas, the male Yun'er and the female Zhensheng, were from Wolong Hetaoping and Ya'an Bifengxia panda bases of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. Both of them flew from Chengdu, Sichuan province.

After their arrival, they were transported to the panda house in Dafenggang Zoo in Yancheng. The zoo plans to launch a series of education activities about giant pandas.

To help the pandas cope with the journey, the temperature in the special car to Yancheng was kept between 15 and 20 C. Staff members monitored the condition of pandas throughout the journey.
