Yangzhou-themed exhibition held in Macao

An exhibition showcasing Yangzhou's charm took place at the Jiangsu pavilion during the 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) from Oct 18 to 20 in Macao.

As one of the most reputable annual international economic and trade events in Macao, this year's MIF covered an area of 24,000 square meters, including more than 1,500 booths and several themed exhibition pavilions such as ones for Jiangsu and Europe.

Themed on displaying the city's charm, Yangzhou was chosen as the main promotion city for the Jiangsu pavilion, showcasing the city's latest achievements in economic and social development and its traditional culture.

A total of over 200 pieces of traditional Yangzhou handicrafts such as lacquer wares, paper-cuttings, woodblock printing were exhibited, with seven masters from Yangzhou performing the traditional techniques of making these handicrafts at the scene.

During the three-day exhibition, the pavilion attracted a lot of visitors and was awarded the Green Booth Award of this year's MIF.
