See the Liu Family Courtyard
The Liu Family Courtyard, built at the end of Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), belonged to Liu Hou, a pioneer in Chinese railway construction.
The two-floor house applied traditional Ma Tou Qiang (horse head wall) architecture, giving them a distinctive look.
To highlight the uniqueness of its construction, the building materials of the house were graphite mixed with glutinous rice juice, so not a single iron sheet or nail was actually used in the construction.
