Yangzhou’s engraving art ranges over various subjects and features ingenious conception, choice materials and exquisite craftsmanship. It has been considered the top Chinese engraving art. Local engravings used to be collected by common people and high-profile officials. Some fine pieces were even presented to ancient emperors.
