Plenty of sweet-scented osmanthus trees in Yangzhou have recently come into a full bloom.
There are a total of 31 osmanthus trees which are tens of years old in the city scattered in scenic spots such as Slender West Lake, Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden and Shi Kefa Memorial Hall and Daming Temple.
The oldest one is situated in Shi Kafa Memorial Hall with an age of more than 130 years.
Shi Kefa is a Ming general who refused to surrender the city to Qing rulers in 1645.
