Visitors to Yangzhou, a renowned tourist destination in East China's Jiangsu province, could receive a tour free on Sept 22.
The first 35 people to dial the registration hotline – 15150850553 – will receive a free tour of Shaobo Ancient Town. The tour will include a senior national-level tour guide.
Located in the northeast suburb of Yangzhou City, Shaobo is a historical and cultural town with a history of more than 1,600 years.
It got its name from Xie An, a renowned politician and militarist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, who built an earth dam to control the water there.
Shaobo is also a key water transport town and important node along the Grand Canal,a UNESCO Heritage Site.
Shaobo's ancient canal wharf, ancient transport dike, ancient canal path, and the main line of the Huaiyang canal are considered to be its most popular spots.
